WHO ARE WE:
The Model Shipwrights of Niagara (aka MSON) is a scale model ship building club for like-minded people of any skill level; from novice to professional. Our club is physically located in Niagara-on-the-Lake (aka NOTL), Ontario, Canada, but our membership is global, without borders. While our emphasis is on display models, including kits and scratch built, members also have interests in building in paper, wood and plastic, pond and R/C models.
NRG CHAPTER CLUB:
We are the first internationally recognised Chapter Club of the Nautical Research Guild.
To learn more about the NRG visit: thenrg.org
WHEN DO WE MEET:
We normally meet in the afternoon of the second Sunday of each month both virtually via ZOOM and Face to Face at our meeting space in NOTL to present progress on our builds or to learn new skills demonstrated by other members. The date of our meetings may change due to statutory holidays or availability of our meeting space (check our upcoming events section below or our SCHEDULE page). These meetings are followed with the publication of our Monthly newsletter - The LOG.
MEMBERSHIP:
Until September 2024 membership is free. Beginning in September 2024 membership dues will be collected annually at $25 CAD. There is no age limit, all are welcome. If you do not have a local club in your area why not try the MSON!
If you would like to receive an invite to our meetings contact us via the form below or e-mail us directly at [email protected].
